Quetta (HRNW)- Panic gripped residents of Quetta after three rockets fired from unknown directions landed in different residential areas of the provincial capital on Wednesday night, injuring three passersby and damaging several houses. According to police and security sources, the rockets struck Akhtar Muhammad Road in Shanti Nagar, Faqir Muhammad Road in Osmania Gali, and Mir Ahmed Khan Road, causing fear and disruption in the affected neighborhoods.
Officials said the first rocket hit the roof of a residential house on Akhtar Muhammad Road, creating a large hole in the roof and completely destroying the solar system installed on the house, though no casualties were reported in that incident. The second rocket landed on the roof of the house of Muhammad Usman in Faqir Muhammad Road’s Osmania Gali, severely damaging the roof and walls of the home. The third rocket struck the boundary wall of a double-storey house on Mir Ahmed Khan Road, causing the wall to collapse and leaving three pedestrians with minor injuries as they were passing nearby.
The injured were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where their condition is reported to be stable. Following the attacks, a heavy contingent of police, Frontier Corps (FC), and other security personnel reached the scene, cordoned off the affected areas, and launched a search operation to trace those responsible.
