Heatwave Alert Issued as Temperatures Soar Across Upper and Central Sindh

Karachi (HRNW)- Citizens in upper and central Sindh are facing severe hardship due to an intense heatwave, while Karachi is also experiencing hot and humid weather conditions. The Meteorological Department has issued a heatwave alert, warning that the extreme weather is likely to continue across central and upper parts of Sindh until May 3.

According to the forecast, daytime temperatures in several districts — including Jamshoro, Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad, Kashmore, Ghotki, Sanghar, Khairpur, Naushahro Feroze, Jacobabad, Larkana, and Sukkur — are expected to remain 4 to 6 degrees Celsius above normal levels. Authorities have advised citizens to take precautionary measures, avoid unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight during peak hours, and stay hydrated to reduce the risk of heat-related illnesses.
