Rawalpindi (HRNW)- Taxila Police have successfully traced a major house theft case and arrested the accused involved in stealing gold ornaments worth more than Rs10 million from a citizen’s home. According to a spokesperson for Rawalpindi Police, 23 tolas of stolen gold jewelry have also been recovered from the suspect and returned to the rightful owner.
Police officials said the accused had been working as a painter at the citizen’s house a few days earlier, during which he allegedly stole the gold ornaments and fled. Acting swiftly, Taxila Police used technical surveillance and human intelligence sources to track down and arrest the suspect in a short period of time.
The recovered jewelry has been handed back to the owner, who expressed gratitude to the police officers for their prompt action in arresting the accused and recovering the stolen valuables.
