Riyadh (HRNW): Saudi security authorities have carried out large-scale enforcement operations against illegal residents, resulting in thousands of arrests and deportations within a single week.
According to Saudi media, a total of 10,725 illegal residents were detained during joint inspection campaigns conducted from June 4 to June 10.
The Saudi Ministry of Interior stated that the operations were carried out in coordination with relevant government agencies as part of ongoing security enforcement measures.
The detained individuals included 5,899 violators of residency laws, 3,084 violators of border security regulations, and 1,742 violators of labor laws.
Reports further indicate that a total of 7,989 individuals were deported, while 14,268 people were referred to their respective diplomatic missions for travel document processing.
Authorities also confirmed that 1,418 individuals were arrested while attempting to cross the border illegally. Among them, approximately 43% were Yemeni nationals, 55% Ethiopian nationals, and 2% from other nationalities.
In addition, 34 individuals were detained for attempting to leave the Kingdom illegally.
