Lahore/Karachi (HRNW)- The budget sessions of the Punjab Assembly and Sindh Assembly have been summoned for the presentation of the provincial budgets for the fiscal year 2026-27.
According to official details, the 43rd budget session of the Punjab Assembly will be held on Tuesday, June 16, at 2:00 PM under the chairmanship of Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan. During the session, the provincial government will present its budget proposals, including allocations for development projects, public welfare initiatives, and government expenditures for the upcoming financial year.
The Punjab Assembly Secretariat has issued a formal notification regarding the session.
Meanwhile, the Sindh Assembly’s budget session has been called for Wednesday at 4:00 PM in Karachi. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah is expected to present the provincial budget for the new financial year before the house.
Prior to the budget session, a meeting of the Sindh Cabinet will be held to review and formally approve the budget proposals.
According to sources, the Sindh Assembly budget session is expected to continue for approximately five days, during which members will debate various budgetary measures and spending plans. A supplementary budget is also likely to be presented before the assembly.
Officials expect the Sindh budget to be approved during the coming week after completion of the parliamentary debate and review process.
The upcoming budget sessions are being closely watched as both provincial governments prepare to outline their economic priorities, development strategies, and public spending plans for the next fiscal year.
