Islamabad (HRNW)- The government has revised petroleum product prices once again, increasing the rates of light diesel, petrol, and high-speed diesel, while slightly reducing the price of kerosene oil. According to a notification issued by OGRA, the price of kerosene has been reduced by Rs4.45 per liter, bringing its new rate to Rs360.76 per liter.
However, in a move likely to affect transportation and household expenses, the government increased the price of light diesel by Rs17.30 per liter, setting its new price at Rs287.54 per liter. Earlier, the Petroleum Division also issued a notification confirming increases in the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel, effective from 12 midnight on May 1.
Under the revised rates, high-speed diesel has become costlier by Rs19.39 per liter, raising its new price to Rs399.58 per liter, while petrol has increased by Rs6.51 per liter, taking its new price to Rs399.86 per liter. The latest fuel price adjustments are expected to have a wider impact on transportation costs, inflation, and commodity prices across the country.
