KARACHI (HRNW): As part of an ongoing crackdown against smuggling, the Keamari District Police conducted a successful operation at the Mochko Check Post, seizing a massive quantity of Indian Gutka being transported from Balochistan.
According to a Keamari Police spokesperson, officers intercepted a suspicious car arriving from Hub Chowki, Balochistan. During the search, police recovered 812 packets (totaling approximately 89,320 pouches) of Indian Gutka concealed in 16 large sacks. The estimated market value of the seized contraband exceeds 1 million PKR.
Two suspects involved in the smuggling attempt, identified as Liaquat and Bakhtiar, were arrested at the scene. A case has been registered against them under the Gutka and Mawa Prohibition Act, and further investigations are underway to uncover the broader network behind the smuggling operation.
