Jhang (HRNW): The death of 17-year-old first-year student Aishal Fatima from Jhang has drawn nationwide attention, with police continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
According to police, the student left her home on June 4 and subsequently went missing. On June 7, her family was informed that she was present at a private hospital in a critical condition. She was later shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, where she passed away.
Initial investigations suggest that some individuals had left the student in an unconscious state at a private hospital before fleeing the scene. Following CCTV footage analysis and other evidence, police have identified four suspects, out of which three have been taken into custody while one remains at large.
Officials stated that the preliminary medical report has not confirmed any conclusive findings of sexual assault. The cause of death is being investigated from multiple angles, including the possible use of a toxic or intoxicating substance.
Samples have been sent to forensic laboratories for detailed analysis, and final conclusions will be drawn after receiving the reports.
Police confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and all legal aspects are being examined, while the family continues to demand justice.
