Makkaha (HRNW): A solemn and highly reverent ceremony for the replacement of the Kiswa (cover of the Holy Kaaba) was held at Masjid al-Haram in the holy city.
According to details, around 250 experts from the Kiswa Factory along with personnel from the Two Holy Mosques administration participated in the process. The entire operation was completed in approximately four hours.
During the replacement process, pilgrims continued performing Tawaf and other religious rituals as usual, while the ceremony proceeded smoothly under strict organizational arrangements.
Officials noted that since 2022, the annual replacement of the Kiswa has been carried out on the first day of the Islamic New Year, marking a spiritually significant tradition in the Islamic calendar.
The ceremony reflected a high level of organization, reverence, and devotion as the new Kiswa was installed over the Holy Kaaba.
