NEPRA Reduces Electricity Price by Rs1.99 Per Unit for Three Months, Consumers to Get Rs67 Billion Relief

Islamabad (HRNW) – Good news for electricity consumers as the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has issued a notification reducing electricity prices by Rs1.99 per unit for a period of three months.

According to the notification, the reduction has been approved under the quarterly adjustment for January to March 2026. The relief will be available to electricity consumers across the country from June to August 2026.

The notification further states that the quarterly adjustment will also apply to K-Electric consumers, ensuring that consumers nationwide benefit from the reduction.

As a result of this decision, electricity consumers are expected to receive a total relief of approximately Rs67.173 billion. The reduction in tariff is aimed at lowering electricity bills for millions of households and businesses during the three-month period.
