Islamabad (HRNW)- Details of meetings held by the Prime Minister to improve the performance of ministries and government institutions were presented during the Question Hour in the National Assembly session.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the Prime Minister held a total of 256 meetings over the past year to discuss key national matters, governance reforms and the performance of various sectors. The House was informed that the objective of these meetings was to strengthen the efficiency of ministries and make government affairs more effective.
During the session, PPP Member of National Assembly Shehla Raza questioned the effectiveness of the meetings, pointing out that despite 25 meetings being held regarding the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), there had not been a major improvement in tax collection performance.
In response, Parliamentary Secretary Dr. Darshan defended the government’s policies and stated that the outcome of the Prime Minister’s meetings and decisions was evident in the country’s improving economic direction. He said Pakistan, which was moving towards bankruptcy in 2022, is now progressing towards stability and recovery.
