South Waziristan (HRNW)- Five members of a family, including three children, were injured after mortar shells struck a residential area near Angoor Adda in South Waziristan, according to Pakistani security sources. Officials said the shelling occurred on April 29, 2026, in border areas adjacent to Angoor Adda, with shells reportedly hitting the homes of local residents Karim Khan and Rahmatullah, causing injuries and damage.

Medical Officer Dr. Ashfaq confirmed that five injured civilians, including three children, were brought to the hospital for treatment. Eyewitnesses described the blast as sudden and intense, with one resident, Noor Ali, saying the shell hit without warning, causing a loud explosion, while another victim said the force of the blast shook the entire house.

Local residents expressed concern over the continued impact of cross-border shelling on civilian communities, particularly children, saying such incidents are creating fear and uncertainty among families living in border regions. Authorities are monitoring the situation closely as tensions remain high in the affected area.
