Lahore (HRNW)- The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will hold a meeting in Peshawar today to see the moon of Ramadan, in which the sighting of the moon will be reviewed in the light of the testimonies received from across the country.
According to a spokesperson for SPARC, the new moon has been born and the age of the moon at sunset today will be approximately 25 hours and 48 minutes, due to which there is a strong possibility of the moon being visible to the eye. On this basis, it has been shown that the first fast in Pakistan is likely to be on Thursday, February 19.
Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad will make the final announcement regarding the sighting of the moon of Ramadan.
It should be remembered that the first fast is being observed in many Arab countries including Saudi Arabia today, where the first Taraweeh prayers were performed in Masjid Al-Haram and Masjid Al-Nabawi. Thousands of pilgrims and worshippers participated on this occasion and thanked for the blessings of the month of Ramadan and prayed for forgiveness.
