Iran Warns UAE Over Growing Israel Ties, Says Patience Has Limits Amid Rising Regional Tensions

Tehran (HRNW)- Iran has issued a strong warning to the United Arab Emirates over its growing ties with Israel, cautioning Abu Dhabi to avoid becoming part of what it described as Israeli “conspiracies,” amid rising diplomatic tensions in the region.

According to Qatari media reports, Mohsen Rezaei, the military secretary to Iran’s Supreme Leader, said that Tehran is closely monitoring the expanding relations between the UAE and Israel. He added that while Iran has not closed the door to friendly relations with Abu Dhabi, there is a limit to its patience.

Rezaei warned that the UAE should avoid aligning itself with Israeli policies and strategies, saying such actions could further destabilize the wider Middle East region.

Reports also noted that during the recent conflict involving the US, Israel, and Iran, the UAE was allegedly targeted by Iranian missile and drone strikes, while some claims suggested the UAE may have indirectly supported anti-Iran operations—claims that have not been independently verified.

Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also criticized the UAE, stating at a BRICS summit that Abu Dhabi remained silent during attacks on Iran and failed to reassess its regional stance.

Araghchi said Iran had expected neighboring countries to at least condemn the attacks, adding that Iran had refrained from naming the UAE out of respect for regional solidarity.

Meanwhile, Israeli media reports claimed that during a previous Iran-Iraq conflict period, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu allegedly made a secret visit to the UAE and met Emirati leadership—claims which UAE officials have denied.

Analysts say the growing exchange of accusations between Iran and the UAE could further heighten diplomatic tensions in the Gulf, at a time when the broader Middle East remains highly volatile due to ongoing regional conflicts involving Iran, Israel, and the United States.
