Washington (HRNW)- US President Donald Trump has claimed that the US military has seized an Iranian ship near the Strait of Hormuz. According to President Trump, this action was taken when the ship was allegedly trying to violate the US blockade.
The US President said that the seized Iranian-flagged cargo ship “Toshka” was about 900 feet long. According to him, this action was taken by a US Navy guided missile destroyer in the Gulf of Oman.
According to Trump, the ship was warned to stop, but the Iranian crew refused to obey the order, after which the US Navy took action and stopped the ship by damaging the engine room.
The US President said that the ship has now been taken into custody by US Marines and is being searched to examine its contents.
However, there was no immediate reaction from the Iranian government on this incident.
