Yogi Adityanath’s Controversial Statements Against Muslims Spark Outcry

Uttar Pradesh/Assam (HRNW)- The Hindu extremist Chief Minister of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, has made controversial and provocative statements against Muslims.

During a speech in Assam, Yogi Adityanath said that his government will identify and expel Muslims from the state. He claimed that the BJP can cleanse the state of “Muslim infiltrators” and every Muslim will be identified and expelled separately.

It was further said that now no one can offer prayers on the streets in Uttar Pradesh, nor will the call to prayer or any kind of worship be allowed loudly from any place of worship.

Human rights groups and the Indian opposition have expressed serious concern and condemnation over this statement, while the international community is also monitoring the actions of the Indian government.

This statement is being described as increasing religious unrest and communal tension in India.
