Dhahran/Jeddah (HRNW)– Reuters, citing sources, has reported that Saudi Arabia plans to open two new wineries—one in Dhahran for non-Muslim Aramco employees and another in Jeddah for non-Muslim diplomats. These wineries may open in 2026, although exact dates have not been announced. The announcement comes after Saudi Arabia’s first winery for non-Muslim diplomats opened last year in Riyadh, reflecting the gradual easing of social restrictions. Despite these developments, alcohol remains banned for the general public, and luxury hotels opening across the kingdom will remain alcohol-free.
