White House Says Immediate Iran-US Peace Deal Unlikely, More Talks Needed

Washington (HRNW)- A White House official has said that an agreement to end the war with Iran is unlikely to be reached immediately, as it could take several more days for the Iranian leadership to approve it.

According to the White House official, progress has been made in the ongoing negotiations between Iran and the United States, but more talks are still needed to reach a final agreement.

On the other hand, US media have claimed that Iranian and American negotiators have agreed on the basic and broad principles of the agreement.

According to the report, US officials believe that Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has also approved the initial outline of the proposed agreement.

The reports say that although both sides agree on important points, the final terms and details have yet to be finalized before any formal signing.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump had said in his statement that the agreement regarding Iran has not yet been fully finalized. He said that this agreement will be completely different from the agreement under former US President Barack Obama.

Donald Trump said that no one has seen the deal yet, nor is the public aware of its details, so people should not pay attention to criticism without full information.

He added that only good news will come out regarding Iran because they never make a “bad deal.”
