Israeli Airstrike Kills Mother, Father and Six-Month-Old Baby in Central Gaza

Nuseirat (HRNW)- Three members of the same family, including a mother, father and their six-month-old baby, were killed in an Israeli airstrike in central Gaza.

The attack targeted a residential apartment in the Nuseirat refugee camp. Medical officials identified the victims as Mohammed Abu Malouh, his wife Alaa Zaqlan and their six-month-old baby, Osama.

According to eyewitnesses and family members, the family was sleeping in their home when a rocket hit the building. The incident sparked panic in the area as rescue teams pulled bodies from the rubble.

The child’s grandmother, Umm Hamza Abu Malouh, said in tears that her son was sleeping in bed with his wife and child when the attack took place. According to her, three members of the family were killed in the attack, leaving six young girls behind.

According to reports, a Palestinian civilian was also killed by Israeli fire near a UN-run medical center in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.

Locals say that no prior warning was issued before the attack, although Israel has been issuing evacuation orders for various areas of Gaza in recent days.

It should be noted that despite the ceasefire in October, Israeli attacks in Gaza have not completely stopped. Negotiations between Israel and Hamas have remained stalled even after the ceasefire brokered by US President Donald Trump.

According to medical officials in Gaza, about 880 Palestinians have been martyred in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire came into effect.
