Anti-Corruption Crackdown: 100 KDA Officials Summoned Over Illegal Appointments

KARACHI (HRNW): The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has intensified its investigation into allegations of large-scale illegal recruitments and fake educational credentials within the Karachi Development Authority (KDA). According to a notice issued by the Anti-Corruption District Central, 100 officers and employees have been summoned today along with all relevant records, including appointment letters, joining orders, and salary slips. This action follows reports that favored individuals and relatives of high-ranking officials were allegedly recruited through back-dated entries and granted promotions based on forged certificates.

The Deputy Director of Anti-Corruption Central has formally launched an inquiry, requiring all summoned individuals to provide educational degrees and diplomas verified by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and IBCC. The notice also demands full details regarding any personalities who recommended these individuals for their roles. Authorities have issued a strict warning that the matter is of a highly sensitive nature, and any failure to cooperate or produce the required documentation will result in immediate and severe legal action. Once the inquiry is finalized, formal charges are expected to be filed against those found complicit in merit violations and forgery.
