Beijing (HRNW)- China’s Foreign Ministry has reacted to the reported US seizure of an Iranian cargo ship, expressing concern over the incident amid already rising tensions in the region.
According to media reports, a Foreign Ministry spokesperson said China is “concerned” about the seizure of the Iranian vessel and is closely monitoring the situation.
Regarding ongoing US-Iran talks, the spokesperson stated that the situation has now reached a critical stage, emphasizing the need for restraint from all sides.
The ministry further said that China will continue to play a constructive role in facilitating US-Iran dialogue, and urged all parties to act responsibly while considering the ceasefire arrangements.
