Tehran (HRNW)- The funeral of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei will be held in Mashhad after a large condolence gathering in the capital Tehran, it has been announced.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s funeral prayer and the main condolence gathering will be held at the Imam Khomeini Hall in Tehran, where a large number of the country’s leadership, religious figures and the public are expected to attend.
After the condolence gathering, the late Supreme Leader will be buried in the religious city of Mashhad, but the final date for the burial in Mashhad has not yet been announced.
According to Iranian authorities, details regarding the funeral arrangements and security will be released later, while an atmosphere of mourning is felt across the country and condolence gatherings are ongoing in various cities.
