Trump Says US Was Not Forced Into Iran War by Israel, Clarifies Responsibility for Decisions

Washington (HRNW)- US President Donald Trump has denied the position of his own Secretary of State Marco Rubio, saying that the United States was not pushed into war with Iran by Israel.

President Trump clearly accepted responsibility and said that if any decision was made to attack Iran, it was his own. He said that “if anything happened, it was that I myself pushed Israel’s hand to attack Iran.”

Earlier, Secretary of State Marco Rubio had said that Israel was going to attack Iran and there was a fear that Iran would target American soldiers in response, which is why the United States took preemptive action.

US Democratic Congressman Joaquín Castro reacted strongly to Marco Rubio’s statement, saying that the Secretary of State himself has admitted that Israel pushed the United States into war with Iran.

On the other hand, Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s National Security Council, has already made it clear that Iran did not want to take the initiative in war and Iran has not started any war like it has in the past three hundred years.

According to political observers, the contradictory statements of President Trump and the Secretary of State have raised further questions about government policy, decision-making and Iran-Israel tensions in the United States, while this issue is giving rise to a new debate in American politics.
