Pakistan, 13 Nations Condemn US Ambassador Mike Huckabee’s Remarks on Israel

Islamabad (HRNW) – Pakistan and 13 other countries have strongly condemned recent remarks by US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, calling the statement dangerous for regional peace and stability.

According to a spokesperson for Pakistan’s Foreign Office, the ambassador’s comments were termed provocative and harmful to efforts aimed at maintaining stability in the Middle East. Media reports state that Huckabee, during an interview, suggested he would not object if Israel gained control over large parts of the Middle East, linking Israel’s borders to biblical descriptions.

In a joint statement issued Sunday, the foreign ministers of Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Indonesia, Kuwait, Oman, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Lebanon, Syria, and Palestine, along with Pakistan, expressed deep concern over the remarks and emphasized the importance of respecting international law and state sovereignty.
