Islamabad (HRNW) — Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has attributed the UAE’s recent strict visa measures for Pakistanis to the large number of professional beggars present there.
He stated that thousands of beggars were arrested during the last Hajj, with a significant portion being Pakistani nationals. Khawaja Asif added that organized groups are sending people abroad for begging, which is damaging Pakistan’s reputation internationally.
