Rawalpindi (HRNW) – The Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has stated that loyalty to the state is a fundamental responsibility of every citizen, emphasizing that while people often speak about their rights, equal importance should be given to fulfilling their duties.
According to the DG ISPR, every citizen’s first and foremost identity should be Pakistani, regardless of ethnic, linguistic, or regional affiliations. He said national unity should take precedence over identities based on province or ethnicity.
The military spokesperson stressed that there will be no negotiations with militant groups, reaffirming the state’s commitment to combating terrorism and maintaining national security.
Addressing the concept of a “hard state,” he said that it does not mean the military governs the country. Rather, he explained, a hard state is one where all matters are conducted strictly in accordance with the Constitution and the rule of law, with equal application of the law to all citizens.
The DG ISPR also alleged that negative propaganda regarding Balochistan is being deliberately spread and further claimed that India and Afghanistan share a common agenda of supporting terrorism. These allegations have not been independently verified, and no immediate response from the governments concerned was available at the time of publication.
He reiterated that Pakistan would continue taking all necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty, peace, and national security.
Paying tribute to the country’s fallen personnel, the DG ISPR said Pakistan’s security, peace, and sovereignty are founded on the sacrifices of the nation’s martyrs. He honored members of the Pakistan Armed Forces, Police, and other law enforcement agencies who lost their lives in the line of duty and expressed solidarity with their families for their patience and resilience.
