Pakistan Condemns Attack on Saudi Arabia, Reaffirms Kingdom’s Right to Self-Defence

Islamabad (HRNW)- Pakistan has strongly condemned the attack on Saudi Arabia, stating that every sovereign state has the right to defend itself under international law and that the Saudi operation in Iraq should be viewed in this context.

During the weekly media briefing, Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said that under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, Saudi Arabia has the full authority to take all necessary measures for its self-defence.

He emphasized that Pakistan attaches the highest importance to peace and stability in the region and urged all parties to exercise maximum restraint to prevent further escalation of tensions.
