Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab announced that the installation of smart signals will begin on key highways, aiming to enhance traffic management through modern technology.

He directed the Municipal Commissioner to immediately initiate the procurement process for the smart signaling system. In the first phase, the project will be implemented in the Red Zone and on II Chundrigar Road as model areas.

In the second phase, the system will be extended to MA Jinnah Road and subsequently to other major arteries of the city.

Authorities believe that this initiative will not only streamline traffic flow but also significantly improve commuting convenience for citizens.
