Karachi (HRNW) – Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has stated that human trafficking is a serious global crime and a grave violation of human rights, emphasizing the need for collective efforts and effective measures to eliminate this crime.
In his message on the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, the Chief Minister said that greater global attention is required to address the situation of individuals who become victims of forced criminal activities through online fraud and exploitation.
Murad Ali Shah stressed that raising public awareness about new methods of human trafficking, online crimes, and digital fraud risks is an urgent need. He advised citizens to remain cautious of suspicious recruitment schemes, fake employment opportunities, and online scams that may lead to human trafficking.
The Sindh Chief Minister said that the provincial government is taking effective measures to prevent human trafficking and human exploitation. He added that coordination among relevant institutions is being strengthened to ensure more effective action against such crimes.
He stated that efforts are underway to enhance the capacity of law enforcement agencies in Sindh to combat human trafficking. He also emphasized that protection, rehabilitation, and legal assistance for victims of trafficking are essential.
Murad Ali Shah said the Sindh government will continue cooperation with the federal government and international partners to eliminate human trafficking.
He highlighted that building a society free from human trafficking requires the combined efforts of the government, civil society, and citizens.
