Volcanic Ash from Ethiopia’s Mount Haile Selassie Reaches Pakistan and Neighboring Countries

Ethiopia (HRNW) The eruption of Ethiopia’s Mount Haile Selassie volcano, which erupted 12,000 years ago, has sent ash clouds as far as Yemen, Oman, India and northern Pakistan.

Pakistan’s Meteorological Department has issued its first alert regarding volcanic ash. The ash is at an altitude of 45,000 feet and can affect the engines of international flights. There are no reports of casualties so far.
