Political Leadership Pays Tribute to PM Shehbaz and Field Marshal Asim Munir for Iran-US Ceasefire Diplomacy

Islamabad (HRNW)- Various political leaders from across Pakistan have paid rich tribute to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for their important role in the diplomatic efforts that led to the Iran-US ceasefire.

Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb praised the leadership of the Prime Minister and the military command, saying that their timely diplomatic efforts helped avert a major regional conflict and saved the region from possible destruction. She said that Pakistan’s wise strategy paved the way for dialogue and highlighted the country’s positive role at the global level.

Federal Minister Owais Leghari also congratulated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir through a social media message, saying that both leaders played a key role in securing the ceasefire. He described it as excellent diplomacy and said the initiative could be considered worthy of the Nobel Peace Prize.

Federal Minister for IT Shaza Fatima Khawaja said that under the Prime Minister’s leadership, Pakistan played an effective role for peace, dialogue, and regional stability, adding that the success reflects high-level wisdom and constructive diplomacy.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also paid tribute to both leaders, stating that Pakistan’s efforts for peace in the region have become part of history and will be remembered in golden words.

Similarly, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari welcomed the ceasefire and called Pakistan’s role in promoting peace a matter of national pride, while Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon described the ceasefire as a welcome step toward regional peace and stability.

Other leaders, including Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan and Abdul Aleem Khan, also praised Pakistan’s diplomatic role and emphasized that the country has demonstrated its responsibility as a peace-promoting state.

Leaders expressed hope that the ceasefire will not remain temporary and will instead become the foundation for lasting peace, stability, cooperation, and shared prosperity in the region.
