Lahore (HRNW)- A resolution welcoming the Iran-US ceasefire has been submitted in the Punjab Assembly.
According to reports, the resolution was submitted by Pakistan Muslim League (N) member Hina Pervez Butt, stating that the House warmly welcomes the Iran-US ceasefire and pays tribute to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
According to the text of the resolution, Pakistan has made sincere efforts to establish peace in the Middle East, and today the country’s peaceful diplomatic role is being recognized globally. The resolution further describes this development as a major achievement of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his government.
It also states that the Pakistan which was once portrayed as isolated on the global stage is now playing an effective role in major international decisions. The resolution adds that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir have emerged as heroes of the Islamic world.
The House, according to the resolution, supports all decisions of the federal government aimed at establishing peace.
