LAHORE (HRNW): In a shocking turn of events, the Lahore Police have solved the mystery behind the brutal murder of 30-year-old Sonia in the Sabzazar area. A joint operation by the Operations and Investigation wings revealed that the victim was murdered by her own husband and her biological sister.
Acting on a high-priority task assigned by DIG Operations Faisal Kamran and DIG Investigation Syed Zeeshan Raza, a police team led by SP Iqbal Town Sidra Khan utilized professional expertise and human intelligence to apprehend the suspects. The case had originally been registered at the Sabzazar Police Station following a complaint by the victim’s mother.
According to SP Sidra Khan, the investigation uncovered a illicit relationship between the victim’s sister and her husband. The two suspects reportedly wanted to marry each other and viewed Sonia as an obstacle to their plans. In a cold-blooded act, the husband strangled Sonia before repeatedly stabbing her with a knife to ensure her death.
SP Sidra Khan stated that a strong challan (charge sheet) is being prepared to ensure the perpetrators receive the maximum legal punishment. Following the successful arrest, both the DIG Operations and DIG Investigation praised the police team and announced commendation certificates for their performance.
