KARACHI (HRNW): Customs Enforcement has dealt a significant blow to smuggling operations in the city by recovering 513.5 kilograms of smuggled silver during a targeted raid on a warehouse in the Saddar area.
Acting on a confidential tip-off, the Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) team conducted the operation, initially discovering 500 kilograms of silver in the form of bars and rods. Upon further inspection of the premises, an additional 13.5 kilograms of the precious metal was recovered and taken into custody.
Customs officials have registered a formal case regarding the seizure, and a comprehensive investigation is currently underway to identify and apprehend the individuals involved in the smuggling ring. This operation is part of an ongoing intensified campaign to curb the illegal trade of precious metals and stabilize the local market.
