SHC Recovers Two Missing Persons, Seeks Progress Reports for Others

KARACHI (HRNW): The Constitutional Bench of the Sindh High Court (SHC) conducted a hearing today regarding the recovery of three missing citizens. During the proceedings, the police submitted a formal report informing the court that two individuals, identified as Noman Shah and Saif-ur-Rehman, have safely returned to their homes. These individuals had previously been reported missing from the Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Shahrah-e-Noor Jahan areas. Following the police confirmation and the verification of their return, the court formally disposed of the petitions related to these two citizens.

However, the case regarding the remaining missing citizen remains active. The court expressed its concern over the slow progress in other pending disappearance cases and directed the police to intensify their efforts. The bench has demanded comprehensive progress reports on the search for the other missing individuals to be submitted at the next hearing. The SHC reiterated that the state is responsible for the protection of its citizens and urged law enforcement agencies to use all available resources to locate those who are still unaccounted for.
