TEHRAN (HRNW): Ali Larijani, an advisor to Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, has issued a sharp warning to neighboring Arab nations, stating that while Iran has not initiated attacks on Arab countries, any military bases on their soil used to facilitate strikes against Iran will face a direct response. In a statement released via X (formerly Twitter), Larijani clarified that “American bases are not Arab territory,” suggesting that targeting these installations is a legitimate act of defense against foreign aggression rather than an attack on the host nations themselves. This stance was echoed by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who asserted that Iran recognizes “no limits” in its self-defense and urged Arab nations to direct their grievances toward the United States and Israel rather than Tehran. Araghchi emphasized that Arab leaders must understand Iran did not start this war and should pressure Washington, not Tehran, to achieve a ceasefire. Adding to the diplomatic pressure, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh noted in a recent interview that while Iran may not reach the U.S. mainland directly, it is actively targeting all U.S.-controlled bases within the region that are being utilized in the current offensive against Iranian sovereignty.
