Reports Claim Killing of Iranian Defense Minister and Revolutionary Guard Chief in Israeli–US Attack

Tehran (HRNW)- Amir Nasserzadeh (Iran’s Defense Minister) has been killed in the recent Israeli and US counter-attacks. Sources also say that Mohammad Pakpour (Head of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard) was also martyred in the same attack.

This information has been given by the British news agency with reference to two Israeli military sources and a regional source, however, there has been no official official confirmation about this yet.

The Israeli army chief has claimed that the operation carried out in Iran is different and much larger than previous wars, and a wide-ranging attack against Iran’s defense system has been completed.

On the other hand, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said in an interview with the US media that some important commanders may have been lost, but he is sure that this is not a major problem. He called the attack unprovoked, illegal, unjustified and a clear violation of international law.

Araqchi said that this action by Iran is a defensive measure and that every country has the legitimate and legal right to express its defense. He said that Iran does not need anyone to defend itself and can defend itself competently.

He added that the experience of negotiations with the United States has been bitter for him, and in this context, Iran has also expressed reservations against the United States, including mentioning targeting American bases in the region in self-defense.

So far, there has been no official confirmation or reaction to this news from senior Iranian officials or military officials. The situation is changing rapidly and the international media is also reporting continuously.
