Islamabad (HRNW) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has removed more than 1.484 million voters from the country’s electoral rolls as part of its voter list revision and verification process.
According to sources, the names were removed during the regular review of electoral records to ensure that the voter lists remain accurate, updated, and compliant with electoral regulations.
Sources further stated that the linkage of voter registration with the Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) system makes the possibility of duplicate voter registrations virtually impossible, enhancing the transparency and integrity of the electoral process.
The Election Commission periodically updates and verifies electoral rolls to maintain accurate voter records in accordance with the national database and to ensure fair and transparent elections.
