PM Shehbaz and Bilawal Bhutto Convene High-Level Meeting on Regional Conflict and National Security

Islamabad, Pakistan (HRNW) — A critical consultative session was held at the Prime Minister’s House today to discuss the deteriorating regional security situation and its implications for Pakistan’s national interests. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, in a high-profile meeting attended by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, and several federal ministers. The Prime Minister took the PPP leadership into confidence regarding Pakistan’s strategic role amidst the ongoing conflict involving Iran, detailing the diplomatic and security measures initiated by the federal government.

The discussion also touched upon domestic stability, with the Prime Minister briefing the provincial chief executives on a new “Smart Lockdown” strategy designed to manage internal safety and resource distribution during the regional crisis. Following this session, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to meet President Asif Ali Zardari at the Presidency this evening to further deliberate on the Middle East escalation. Sources indicate that the Prime Minister will formally apprise the President of the government’s decision regarding a potential mediation role between the United States and Iran, aimed at de-escalating the conflict and safeguarding global stability.
