Justice at the Doorstep: DIG Operations Faisal Kamran Holds Open Court to Address Public Grievances

LAHORE (HRNW): In a commitment to provide immediate relief to citizens, DIG Operations Lahore, Faisal Kamran, held a daily “Khuli Kachehri” (Open Court) at his office on March 14, 2026. Individuals from various walks of life attended the session to present their complaints directly to the high-ranking official.

During the proceedings, Faisal Kamran issued on-the-spot directives to relevant police officers. Regarding a complaint about a police raid, the DIG sought an online explanation from SHO Shadbagh. While reports indicated the arrested suspect was a drug addict wanted for harassment and theft, Faisal Kamran ordered SP City to conduct a formal inquiry to ensure the citizen’s satisfaction. Furthermore, an inquiry was ordered into a massive embezzlement case involving 28 million PKR (2.8 crore) from a company account.

The Open Court also addressed social and local issues:

  • SHO Shahdara was ordered to take immediate action against a man for failing to provide financial support to his wife and children.

  • SHO Shafiqabad was directed to assist a citizen victimized by a fraudulent electricity meter installation.

  • SHO Mazang was tasked with investigating allegations of assault by a drug peddler and registering a case if proven true.

DIG Faisal Kamran reaffirmed that providing swift justice is the top priority of the Lahore Police, stating that no legitimate public complaint would be ignored.
