KARACHI (HRNW) – Vice Chairman of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (Pakistan), Shaukat Allah Farooqi, has stated that Israeli aggression has turned the Middle East into a flashpoint. He warned that unless global powers act to halt the brutal attacks on Iran, it may become difficult to prevent the conflict from spreading.
Speaking after an Iftar event in Malir, Farooqi said the situation in Iran is extremely tragic and dangerous. While acknowledging public emotions over the death of Ayatollah Khamenei, he emphasized that resorting to violence and property damage in a city like Karachi is unacceptable.
He expressed deep sorrow over the loss of 10 lives during yesterday’s protests and called for a thorough investigation. Farooqi highlighted the need to determine who authorized the U.S. consulate marine to open fire on civilians.
Farooqi strongly condemned Israel’s overt aggression and urged that, amid rapidly changing circumstances, people must choose the path of peace and mutual respect to prevent further loss of life. He added that while protests and public reactions are understandable, the loss of human life is tragic, and every individual should remain vigilant about their surroundings to avoid accidents and untoward incidents.
