Islamabad (HRNW) – Pakistan has not yet disclosed its position regarding the participation of Pakistani troops in the proposed International Stabilization Force (ISF) for Gaza, with officials saying the matter remains under discussion and is sensitive.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump announced that member countries of the newly formed “Board of Peace” have already pledged to provide thousands of personnel ahead of the group’s first summit, scheduled to be held in Washington on February 19. The summit is expected to discuss the reconstruction plan for Gaza and the framework of a UN-approved stabilization force.
Sources said that Shehbaz Sharif will also attend the summit, but officials in Islamabad have neither confirmed nor denied whether Pakistan has committed to sending troops, stating that no final decision has been made public yet.
