ICC Reaches Agreement with PCB and BCB, Bangladesh Faces No Fine for T20 World Cup 2026 Boycott

Lahore (HRNW)- The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released details of the talks with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). According to the ICC, no fine will be imposed on Bangladesh for not participating in the T20 World Cup 2026.

A statement issued by the ICC said that Bangladesh will also be given the opportunity to host an ICC event in the future. According to the statement, the Bangladesh Cricket Board will host an international ICC event from 2028 to 2031.

It should be noted that important talks were held between the ICC, PCB and BCB in Lahore yesterday, which were related to the issue of boycotting the match against India during the T20 World Cup to be held in Pakistan.

ICC Deputy Chairman Imran Khawaja, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and Bangladesh Cricket Board President Aminul Islam were present in the talks. According to sources, the talks lasted for more than five hours.

Sources say that during the talks, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi focused on addressing the possible abuses against Bangladesh, after which the ICC decided in favor of Bangladesh.
