Hub (HRNW) – Senior police officials from Sindh and Balochistan held a high-level meeting in Hub to strengthen security along the inter-provincial border and enhance coordination against terrorism, smuggling, and the movement of illegal migrants.
The meeting marked the first formal high-level session between the two provincial police forces focused on developing a joint security strategy for the Sindh–Balochistan border.
Participants discussed measures to prevent the movement of terrorists, smugglers, and illegal migrants, while emphasizing closer intelligence sharing and coordinated law enforcement operations.
The meeting was attended by Additional IG Karachi Azad Khan, Additional IG CTD Zulfiqar Lark, DIG West Irfan Baloch, DIG Asad Raza, SSP West Tariq Elahi Mastoi, SSP Keamari Singhar Malik, and SSP CTD Irfan Bahadur.
Representing Balochistan Police were DIG Kalat Range Wazir Khan Nasir, SSP Hub Mirza Bilal Hassan, DSP Hub Imam Baloch, and RO Special Branch Zulfiqar Baloch.
During the meeting, several key decisions were taken to enhance security along the Sindh–Balochistan border, including a proposal to establish new security checkpoints in strategic border areas.
Officials also discussed the possibility of joint patrols by Sindh and Balochistan Police on highways and other routes connecting the two provinces to improve surveillance and strengthen crime prevention efforts.
At the conclusion of the meeting, police officials from both provinces reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close coordination, enhancing intelligence cooperation, and working together to combat crime and security threats. It was also announced that the next coordination meeting will be held in Sindh.
