PM Shehbaz Sharif Says Upcoming Budget Will Focus on Public Relief and Economic Growth

Islamabad (HRNW) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stated that the federal government is incorporating all possible measures in the upcoming budget to provide relief to the public and remains fully committed to improving economic conditions.

The remarks came during a meeting with a delegation of leading industrialists and prominent business figures from across the country. During the meeting, participants discussed proposals related to the Federal Budget 2026-27 and strategies for accelerating Pakistan’s overall economic growth.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the government is taking steps to bring the informal economy into the tax net in order to broaden the tax base and strengthen revenue collection. He added that business-friendly policies introduced by the government have contributed to economic improvement and helped restore the confidence of foreign investors.

The Prime Minister further emphasized that the government is focusing on promoting industries that boost domestic production, increase exports, and generate maximum employment opportunities. He reiterated that providing relief to the people through the upcoming budget remains one of the government’s highest priorities.

The meeting also included discussions on measures aimed at enhancing investment, industrial development, and sustainable economic growth in the country.
