KARACHI (HRNW) – Gold prices witnessed a significant increase on Thursday after a day of decline in both global and local bullion markets.
The price of gold per ounce in the international bullion market increased by $50, bringing the new global price to $4,530 per ounce.
Following the impact of the international market, the price of 24-carat gold per tola in local bullion markets also increased by Rs5,000 on the fourth business day of the week, reaching Rs475,362 per tola.
Similarly, the price of gold per 10 grams at the local level rose by Rs4,287 to Rs407,546.
In addition, the price of silver per tola in the country increased by Rs60 to Rs8,034, while the price of silver per 10 grams also went up by Rs51 to Rs6,887.
It is worth mentioning that a day earlier, gold prices in the global market had fallen by $68 to $4,480 per ounce, while in local markets, the price had declined by Rs6,800 to Rs470,362 per tola and by Rs5,830 per 10 grams.
