Karachi (HRNW)- Gas load shedding and non-availability have taken a serious turn in Karachi, where citizens are reportedly not receiving gas despite paying heavy utility bills, leaving household stoves cold and daily life severely affected.
According to residents of affected areas, many families are being forced to rely on expensive hotels and the cylinder mafia for basic cooking needs, which has significantly increased financial pressure on the middle class and disrupted household budgets.
Reacting strongly to the situation, MQM Pakistan leaders criticized the federal government, terming the situation as “Karachi hostility,” and stated that the city generating the highest revenue is being treated unfairly in terms of basic utility distribution.
Public circles have also expressed strong protest over the lack of essential services and have demanded immediate intervention from the federal government to ensure an uninterrupted supply of gas to the city.
