Illegal Migration Attempt to Spain via Morocco Thwarted; Passenger Offloaded at Karachi Airport

Karachi, Pakistan (HRNW)- The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration has successfully intercepted an attempt at illegal migration to Spain during a targeted operation at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi. According to an FIA spokesperson, a passenger identified as Faisal Murad, son of Qazi Gul and a resident of District Swat, was stopped while attempting to travel to Morocco on a visit visa.

During the immigration clearance process, officials grew suspicious and referred the passenger for secondary screening. A detailed inspection of his documents and mobile phone revealed incriminating evidence of a planned illegal journey. Under interrogation, the passenger confessed that his ultimate destination was not Morocco, but Spain. He disclosed that an agent named Bahadur Khan, based in Peshawar, had promised to facilitate his illegal entry into Spain via a sea route using Morocco as a transit point, for a sum of 30 lakh PKR.

The passenger was unable to justify the purpose of his visit, lacking both a hotel booking and sufficient financial means for a legitimate stay. Based on these clear indicators of human smuggling, the FIA offloaded the passenger and handed him over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) Karachi for further legal proceedings and to track down the involved agent. Investigations into the smuggling network are currently ongoing.
