Islamabad (HRNW)– For the first time in the history of Pakistan, a global beauty contest of Quran recitation is being held in the capital city.
According to details, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, while addressing the inaugural ceremony, said that today is a historic and blessed day. By the grace of Allah, Pakistan has been honored to organize the first global beauty contest of Quran recitation.
He said that during the previous PML-N government, on the instructions of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, efforts were made to rebuild the Ministry of Religious Affairs on the same lines as the reforms previously initiated.
He further stated that in the current era, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, a convention of the Ulema and Mashaikh Council has been organized, work has begun to establish the Nizam Salat and Quran Board, and the Quran remains the ultimate source of guidance. In this regard, holding this event is a matter of great joy.

Sardar Muhammad Yousaf added that reciters from 40 countries are participating in the competition, which is a great blessing for Pakistan, as it will help achieve success in this world and the hereafter. He emphasized that the language of the Quran is Arabic, and it is essential for all Muslims to learn it so they can read, understand, and act upon the Holy Quran.
He expressed hope that this blessed gathering will help promote Arabic education across the country.
