Karachi (HRNW)– In Karachi’s Orangi Town, a tragic incident occurred when a 60-year-old man, who had reportedly been dreaming for days about setting himself on fire, actually poured kerosene oil over his body and ignited it, leading to his death.
According to details, the incident took place on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday near Qasba Mor, Shahzad Cinema Street No. 5. The man, identified as Allah Rakha, son of Khushi Muhammad, sustained severe burns and was shifted to Civil Hospital in critical condition, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

SHO Yousaf Mehr stated that initial investigations confirmed the case to be self-immolation. The deceased had arrived from Pindi just 10 days earlier to stay at his sister-in-law’s house.
The sister-in-law told the police that Allah Rakha had been distressed for the past three days due to recurring dreams in which he saw himself pouring kerosene over his body and setting himself ablaze. Tragically, he acted out the same on the night of the incident.
Police completed the necessary legal procedures and handed over the body to the family. Further investigation is underway.
